MATT DEAN PERFORMANCE – THE THIRSTY GOAT
October 24, 2024, West Ouachita Parish
Tonight, Matt Dean took the stage at The Thirsty Goat, showcasing his unique blend of country, rock, and blues music. Matt Dean is an artist with a fan base that spans Fort Worth, Southern Arkansas, and Louisiana. It was a splendid evening under the stars as Matt delivered a stellar solo performance on the outdoor stage. With his soulful renditions of songs like “Don’t Close Your Eyes,” “Get Up and Leave,” “Smile,” “Whisky Bent and Hell Bound,” and “Too Many Highs and Too Many Lows,” he took us on a musical journey. Matt closed with a stirring rendition of “Purple Rain,” a local favorite. This was an enjoyable evening of music.
The Thirsty Goat has established itself as a popular venue for live music. Located along Highway 80, this corridor leading to the west is poised for considerable development all the way to Calhoun. The venue is recognized for its contribution to the local music scene, hosting some of our most popular artists. I spoke to owner Justin Brazzell for a few minutes after the performance. He is clearly committed to his customers and the musicians. I thanked him for his commitment and investment in Ouachita Parish.
Matt may have important news to share with us over the holidays, so stay tuned.
