JOEY ANDERS JR – ROCK HOUSE LIVE MEMPHIS

Joey arrived in Memphis during a light September rain. Water droplets dripped from the brim of his crusher hat as he entered the Rock House Live. Known for its rich musical history, the venue provided a fitting backdrop for Joey’s performance. The light September rain added a touch of atmosphere to the evening.
With his Gretsch hollow body guitar in hand, he and drummer Jake Jones took the stage. “Good evening, I’m Joey Anders Jr.” They opened the show with “Catfish Blues” by Muddy Waters, evoking cheers from the audience. Joey’s richly textured voice filled every nook and cranny of the venue. They followed up with “Drifting Blues” by Eric Clapton. His guitar work was a tapestry of tones, phrasing, and passion. Intertwined with pulsating drums and iconic multicolored stage lights, Joey and Jake provided an authentic Memphis blues experience.
Joey belted out one blues anthem after another, immersing his audience in the essence of the blues genre with songs about heartbreak, resilience, and soul. The performance continued with “Farther up the Road,” “Crossroads,” “Key to the Highway,” and “Walking Blues.” For a little while, the crowd left their worries behind on this musical journey.
“Crawling Kingsnake” was my personal highlight of the evening. From the crowd’s reaction and accolades, they loved it as well. They closed their performance with “Shake Em on Down.” This was a memorable performance. I will return to the Rock House Live.
Joey Anders Jr. was accompanied by drummer Jake Jones. They are accomplished and dedicated musicians with a strong work ethic. If you need live music for your event, book Joey and Jake. You are guaranteed success.
