FOUR ON THE FLOOR – MURPHY ARTS DISTRICT PERFORMANCE
September 17, 2024, Eldorado, AR
Concertgoers were greeted by the nostalgic sounds of classic rock anthems and surrounded by wall-to-wall LED screens as they entered the Murphy Arts District venue. After a five-minute warning, the lights dimmed. With drums pounding, the crowd erupted in applause as Four on the Floor took the stage under the brilliant stage lights. They opened with “Ninety Miles an Hour,” evoking cheers and screams. They followed up with “If I Had My Way” and “Velvet Hammer.” Danny and Toby’s guitar solos pierced the sky, while the venue quaked from Kenneth’s thundering bass. Their soundscape is a complete tapestry of all life’s twists and turns that shaped these musicians into the professionals they are today. They owned the stage Wednesday evening, they belonged there.
The audience was captivated by “Shake Off These Blues.” The crowd loved all their original compositions, which were both authentic and honest. The evening’s performance was filled with numerous moments of artistic brilliance. The drums and bass laid down a rock-solid foundation, creating a steady platform for dynamic improvisation. They were tight and well-rehearsed, what an awesome performance.
The audience showered Four on the Floor with accolades throughout the evening. Their setlist showcased their talent and versatility. “Are you ready for 38 Special?” they occasionally asked. The crowd gave a roaring response upon hearing they were from Northeast Louisiana.
They closed the set with Led Zeppelin’s “When the Levee Breaks.” They were joined on stage by harmonica player Dave Moore. The audience went crazy during this song; the roar was deafening. The people from South Arkansas and North Louisiana knew what they were singing about. Four on the Floor received a well-deserved standing ovation.
Four on the Floor features Danny Lee Witherington and Toby Traylor sharing guitar duties, Kenneth Sanders on bass, Dave Reeves on drums, and Dave Moore adding soulful harmonica melodies.
Northeast Louisiana is so proud.
The crowd was indeed ready for 38 Special. What a memorable night. If you need live music, book Four on the Floor. You are guaranteed success.
Thank you, Murphy Arts District, for supporting live music.
